Continue reading »]]> The Granma Cup in Cuba is likely the most difficult international Greco Roman wrestling tournament in the Western Hemisphere each year. This year countries from Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas sent their top competitors. Jordan’s silver medal gave him the highest place on Team USA – and just as high or higher than any wrestler from any country besides Cuba, who won gold at every weight. According to the article here USA National Coach Steve Fraser commented, “We have to continue to improve our skills in all areas if we expect to qualify our weight classes for the Olympic Games in Orlando in March. The Cubans are very strong.” This is significant because the representative wrestler from the US needs to place in the top two at the Pan American Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament  on March 23-25 in order to qualify his weight for London 2012. There is no seeding at this tournament. Bracket placement is decided by a blind computer draw after weigh-ins. This means the likelihood is high that some US and Cuban wrestlers will be on the same side of the bracket and only one of them will qualify.

Continue reading »]]> TheMat.com named Jordan “Wrestler of the Week” after a key win over 2010 World Champion Hristo Marinov of Bulgaria at the Curby Cup last weekend. The United States went on to win the dual meet 4-3. Jordan and Hristo were voted Most Exciting Match.

He will be the #1 seed at the 2011 World Team Trials starting June 10 in Oklahoma City.

Continue reading »]]> The USA Greco-Roman Wrestling Team is headed to the Pan American Championships in Rionegro, Colombia today. All three Olympic styles will be represented in the tournament held on May 6-8. Jordan will be weighing in on Thursday and competing on Friday, May 6th. To win the gold he will have to defeat top-ranked athletes from North, Central and South American countries, likely including Pablo Enrique Shorey Hernández, the 2010 world silver medalist from Cuba. Continue reading »]]> To proclaim the truth about Jordan Holm, former prisoner at Anamosa State Penitentiary in Anamosa, Iowa. Hopefully we can answer questions about who Jordan is, how this happened, and what is being done to fight for his exoneration. Jordan’s family, friends, and nearly everyone else who has reviewed the case files and the DNA evidence firmly believe in Jordan’s innocence. We also believe in our judicial system and we are certain that justice will prevail in Jordan’s case. For now we wait and hope and pray this will happen as soon as possible.

Continue reading »]]> Jordan will be representing the United States at 84kg in the Pan American Championships held on May 5 & 6 in Medellin, Columbia.  He will also represent the US in the prestigious Curby Cup on May 21st in La Grange, IL. The Curby Cup is an international dual meet between the US National Greco-Roman Wrestling Team and an International “Dream Team” of Champions sponsored by the Jacob Curby Foundation, under the auspices of USA Wrestling and FILA-The International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles. He will be competing against Hristo Marinov from Bulgaria, the 2010 World Champion.
